CellomicsTip is an offline nanoelectrospray ionization (nanoESI) emitter designed to enhance the performance of conventional Nanospray Tips. It enables highly sensitive mass spectrometric analysis of trace-level samples under nanoflow conditions and is well suited for examining a wide range of compounds—from high- to low-molecular-weight species, including proteins.
The tip has additionally been engineered for single-cell mass spectrometry (Patent No. 5317983, granted in Japan, the United States, Europe, China, and other jurisdictions as of June 2026). Its diameter and geometry have been carefully optimized so that diverse cells and intracellular components can be directly sampled into the tip for subsequent mass-spectrometric measurement. Tip diameter can be chosen according to the type and size of the cells under study.
